Winthrop, MN – A television crew from Winona, MN was in Winthrop to cover the recent G-F-W vs. Sibley East boys’ basketball game held at G-F-W High School on January 14th.

HBC Studios produced the game for RS Fiber who intends to rebroadcast the game at a later date to its Video customers. (HBC is the operator of the RS Fiber Cooperative owned network.)

RS Fiber General Manager, Toby Brummer, said providing local programming to their video customers is something that RS Fiber hopes to do more of in the future.

“RS Fiber will have a local community channel that will carry local events like last week’s basketball game” said Brummer. “Our plan to broadcast local programming is part of our commitment to our communities. It is something that will set RS Fiber apart from other service providers in the area. In the future, we hope to work with the schools and local organizations to provide the programming that will be carried on the community channel.”

Brummer said that until the game can be seen on television, fans can visit the HBC online store (hbci.com/store) to purchase DVD copies of the game.
