During a recent audit of our billing system, it was discovered that all of our customers subscribing to Internet and Video packages were receiving discounts greater than those advertised, causing them to be billed at a lesser rate than quoted. Billing has now been corrected and all packages are now billing at the accurate rate that was quoted at the time of service subscription. Additionally, a bill insert was mistakenly included in all August billing statements regarding The Universal Service Fee. This fee is only applicable to current Phone subscribers and does not apply to any RS Fiber customers at this time.
As a community cooperative, we are proud of our small-town roots and small-town values. Ensuring that our customers are receiving exemplary customer care is our top priority. We know that this has caused misunderstanding and apologize for the inconvenience. Package customers will not be retroactively billed for any excess discounts that were given during the billing error period.
