RS Fiber has put into place security procedures to prevent our customers from becoming victims of ID Theft.

We may ask you to present identification or ask for a password, which is all designed to help ensure security.

According to the Federal Trade Commission as many as 10 million Americans have their identities stolen each year. The crime takes many forms. Identity thieves may rent an apartment, obtain a credit card, or establish a telephone account in your name.

Some tips to keep your information secure:

  • Use software that updates automatically.
  • Treat your personal information like cash.
  • Check out companies to find out who you are dealing with.
  • Give personal information over encrypted websites only.
  • Protect passwords.
  • Back up your files.
