How to resolve location errors with live TV streaming services.
When you subscribe to live TV streaming services like fuboTV, Hulu, or YouTube TV, among others, you may be required to share your zip code or set a “home area” or “home network”. Doing this allows your service to determine the local and regional networks that are broadcast to you for your news, weather, and sports.
If you do not establish your location or travel outside of your home base, your local networks may change to that of the physical region you are in and may cause any number of errors. Errors could include channels not displaying, channels from another region displaying, or messages that your home network cannot be found.
Each streaming service provider recommends different troubleshooting steps and methods for verifying your device’s location. If you run into any of these errors, please consult with your streaming service provider’s help section of their website.
